6AMING was begun while watching Jacques Rivette’s 13-hour film Out 1, a film with acting, conspiracies, gossip, threesomes and more. 6AMING documents the slow and quick passage of time in a placeless place––sometimes on the screen, sometimes around people and things. Fragmentary narratives that mimic automatic writing, enumerating the world happening within brief minutes, they game the facts of the mind as if those facts were poems. Influenced by the experimental music of contemporary Beijing, 6AMING presents the world as all that is the case: détourned text. 

Matt Turner is the author of four additional full collections of poetry, most recently The Places (BlazeVOX 2025), and three chapbooks. He has translated or co-translated around a dozen books from Chinese, focusing on China’s contemporary avant-garde––including, notably, works by Yan Jun, Wan Xia, and Ou Ning. His essays and reviews can be found in Cha, Hyperallergic Weekend, Bookforum and elsewhere. He lives in New York City, where he is a commercial translator and copy editor.

Into the Bowels by Nikki Dasos

Into the Bowels is about the embarrassment of riches. These thin, fidgety poems, studded with pearls and peaches, arsonists and party animals, survey the gap between wanting and getting.

Plethora by Henry Walton

Plethora is the first release of a triptych titled ’Slip’ that uses mundane, everyday moments as a jumping off point to write about the spurious and random connections between our daily thoughts and the barrage of news, information and media we willingly and unwillingly consume.

Henry Walton. Born in 1984 in the UK, now living in a divided city; Nicosia, Cyprus. Previously, and still occasionally, a musician who has released on multiple labels around the world, he now dedicates time to writing about memory, madness, identity and fatherhood.

Patternation by Shira Dentz

The poems in Shira Dentz’s Patternation exist “in a field far from human voice.” They move, rather, deep inside the voice of birds, in a place far from artifice; they dangle, “whale-like”, in a place where “life hasn’t yet hardened.” 

Shira Dentz is the author of five books, most recently SISYPHUSINA (Astrophil Press), winner of the Eugene Paul Nassar Prize, as well as three chapbooks including FLOUNDERS (Essay Press). Apophenia by Jan Clausen 
April 2026 

Written in 2025, this sequence constitutes a surreal, often lyrical “journal of consciousness,” offering a series of vertiginous perspectives on contemporary life: “Don’t tell the devouring goddess/Death too’s a sort of miracle.” Pieces are in a syllabic form, the 478, devised by the author based on a yoga breathing practice. They register seasonal changes, sensory phenomena, political cataclysms, dream fragments, fantasy projections, appeals to the spirit world. Plots, hinted at but ultimately elusive, function as trellises supporting tendrils of free association. Meant to have the resonance of song lyrics or nursery rhymes, the work will benefit from being read aloud. 

Jan Clausen is the author of six full-length poetry collections, including Veiled Spill: A Sequence (GenPop). Her poems have appeared in Action, Spectacle, AGNI, Electric Literature, Fence, Firmament, Kenyon Review, Makhzin, Mercury Firs, Ploughshares, SurVision, Tupelo Quarterly, and many other journals. She has also published two novels, a volume of short stories, and the memoir Apples and Oranges (Seven Stories). Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, she has lived in Brooklyn, New York since the mid-1970s.
